Draft fans

Forced or induced fan challenges

Induced draft fan in coal plant
Forced draft fans are essentially large blowers that drive heated air into a combustion chamber. Induced draft fans remove gases from the boiler, precipitator and other pollution control systems, pulling gases up the stack.

As with many industrial fans, both units are exposed to extreme heat and excessive vibration. In turn, both are prone to lubrication problems, imbalance and high maintenance costs. SKF offers a range of advanced industrial air handling solutions to handle these challenges and more.
